Our Work

We seek to encourage evangelicals within Methodism to read and study the Bible, pray, engage in theological study, participate in decision making at every level of the Methodist Church, and, fulfil their calling as part of the whole people of God within the local church and community.

From 2012 - 2022 we employed two successive Development Workers who were available to lead retreats, church weekends, Continuing Local Preacher Development, Bible-teaching and prayer events around the Connexion and online.

We hosts an annual REVIVE: National Gathering weekend and an annual Expository Preaching Conference with nationally known speakers. We also have a stand at the Methodist Conference and at Cliff Festival, and attend other regional events.

Each year we publish three editions of our magazine providing Bible studies, articles on contemporary themes and issues, a daily prayer guide, news on latest events, networking and book and resource reviews.

We welcome applications for grants from the Donald English Young Scholars fundDonald English-0
We offer small one-off grants (currently up to £500) to support the studies of young scholars (aged under 40 at the time of application) in any field of theology. As the Fund seeks to promote evangelical scholarship in Methodism, applicants should be in sympathy with the aims (prayer for revival and witness to the evangelical faith) and our basis of faith (which affirms the Evangelical Alliance basis of faith).
